Why Main Street?
You have a lot of choices to make when you decide to buy a home, and we recognize that picking a homebuilder can be difficult. But choosing Main Street Homes is an easy decision when you understand our unique design features. Here are some examples typical of our home design:
- Long, unobstructed views through the home’s interior and into the rear yard. This gives a sense of depth and space to your home.
- The living, dining and kitchens are typically integrated into one open space. Your friends and family will tend to gather in your kitchen, so it feels natural to incorporate the kitchen into the living area. And because we know a large kitchen is a priority for most people, emphasis is on kitchen size in all of our floor plans, no matter the square footage
- The living, dining, master and kitchen are aligned near the rear of the home. In addition, the majority of our homes are “mother-in-law plans,” a style that promotes privacy for each bedroom.
- Exterior walls have 8-foot ceilings, and in many plans slope to 10-foot vaulted ceilings in the living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom to create volume. This adds up to 150 feet of visual square footage to the homes.
- Hallways are minimal or non-existent, saving up to 100-square-feet of unlivable space per plan and promoting visual privacy between rooms.
- Flex rooms are incorporated into many of our designs, and can serve as a study, dining room or an additional bedroom or nursery, depending on your needs.
- Many home exteriors incorporate stone mixed with lap siding and are accented with circle-top windows, wood shutters and transom windows above doors to provide distinguished curb appeal.
These design elements combine to make the interior of your home spacious and comfortable, and to achieve a more attractive community by varying exterior designs within the neighborhood.
